The City of DeSoto, Texas is requesting proposals from qualified individuals/firms for a stand-by contract for the clearance, demolition, removal, reduction, and disposal of disaster debris as directed by the City in order to eliminate immediate threat to the public health and safety. Also required is the elimination of immediate threats of significant damage to improved public or private property and that which is considered essential to ensure economic recovery of the affected community. Contractors shall provide disaster recovery technical program management assistance to City officials. Work under this proposal will be utilized on an "as needed" basis or when notice to proceed is given to the successful proposer(s). Written questions regarding this RFP must be received by the Purchasing Office no later than March 7, 2025 at 5pm (CST). Questions may then be responded to by written amendment to this document. Oral statements or instructions shall not constitute an amendment to the RFP. QUESTIONS SHALL BE DIRECTED TO: Procurement@desototexas.gov. Term of Agreement The period of the contract will be for a term of twelve (12) months and the option to extend for up to four (4) years (the actual term will be determined on the basis of the City's overall disaster recovery program development) with an annual recertification and price adjustment.
