The City of DeSoto, Texas is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive code enforcement abatements and mowing services. The selected contractor will be responsible for maintaining properties in compliance with city ordinances, focusing on both aesthetic and safety concerns. Services include mowing grass and weeds that exceed 12 inches in height, as well as trimming around obstacles such as fences, sidewalks, and utility poles. The contractor will also be tasked with removing debris, brush piles, and fallen trees or limbs from properties as directed by the City. Additional responsibilities involve applying weed control treatments, securing properties when necessary (e.g., boarding up windows or doors), and ensuring proper disposal of all collected materials in accordance with local and state regulations. The scope of work covers various property types, including residential lots with structures, vacant parcels, and commercial properties. To maintain transparency and accountability, the contractor must document all work with before-and-after photographs and submit detailed reports of services rendered within 48 hours of job completion.
