mechanical engineering firms to assess HVAC; recommend replacement; prepare plans/specs to bid new system; inspect/ accept winning contractor's installation at Callaway County Public Library, 710 Court St, Fulton. The Daniel Boone Regional Library (DBRL) is seeking proposals from qualified mechanical engineering firms to (1) assess the existing HVAC system; (2) recommend HVAC replacement with cost estimates; (3) prepare plans and specifications to bid for the replacement of our existing HVAC system; (4) inspect and accept the successful contractor's installed equipment at the Callaway County Public Library (CCPL). I. The selected firm shall provide a report for DBRL with recommendations for replacing the three HVAC CCPL systems with a single HVAC system that adequately heats and cools the building. A. The system should have a temperature control system that allows operation, scheduling, and control of spaces or zones. The HVAC system needs to provide energy efficiently and allow for remote access control. B. The required system report will need to include cost estimates for the proposed options. II. The selected firm will be required to design and prepare bid documents for the approved design option by DBRL that meets the heating and cooling requirements of the Callaway County Public Library. The design includes a temperature control system that allows operation, scheduling, and control of spaces or zones. HVAC needs to: A. Provide a detailed timeline for project completion, including milestones and deadlines. B. Issue bid document for a contractor. C. Present the contractor's proposals responses to the DBRL Board of Trustees and make a recommendation on best bid proposal. D. Notify all bid responders of DBRL's selection of a successful bidder. E. Assist DBRL staff with preparing and executing a contract with the successful bidder. F. Evaluate the contractor's work and compliance with the contract and bid documents. G. Review all contractor invoices and certify as accurate to DBRL staff including inspection of the installation and final approval and acceptance of the installed equipment. H. Include a comprehensive maintenance plan for the new HVAC system. I. Work with DBRL staff to ensure all laws and regulations are complied with when bidding for the new HVAC System such as prevailing wage, Domestic Content, e-verify requirements, etc..
