Bids on bulk Coarse Ice Control Salt of the type and quantity as shown in the attached bid forms and as follows: Bulk Deicing Salt is mined rock salt from a natural salt deposit located feet below the surface. The product is translucent grey to white crystalline. Bulk Deicing Salt is not approved for human or animal consumption. It is intended for use only as a chemical deicer on roadways, parking lots or sidewalks. The salt shall comply with ASTM specification D632-01 Type 1, Grade 1. All deicing salt shall be treated with an anti-caking agent - Yellow Prussiate of Soda (YPS), 50-150ppm. Approximately 150 tons to be delivered to Callaway County Road & Bridge Maintenance facility between August 15 and September 26, 2025. David Thomas This bid will be for a one-year period beginning April 1, 2025, through March 31, 2026. The Callaway County Commission reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all bids.
