Questions that require clarifications or modification of the bid documents will not be answered unless there is adequate time to issue an addendum The Owner reserves the right to adjust the amount of work within the contract (both for the Base Bid and Alternate No. 1) to meet match the approved budget for the project of $710,000 based on the bid prices. The Bidder shall provide unit prices for the bid items for the Base Bid and Alternate No. 1 based on the estimated quantities provided. This project includes the following work in the Base Bid; paving the remainder of CR 401 from the existing pavement to the intersection with CR 404, paving the portion of CR 404 from the exiting paved section just west of the CR 404/405 intersection to approximately 100' west of the CR 401/404 intersection. This project includes the following work in the Alternate No. 1; continuing the paving of CR 404 from the termination of the work in the base bid to approximately 100' west of the bridge on CR 404 that lies just west of the CR404/403 intersection and paving the portion of CR 403 from the intersection with CR 404 to 100' south of the bridge on CR 403 that lies just south of the CR404/403 intersection. The pavement section for all work shall be a 4 inch thick MODOT Type 1 base layer (22 foot wide) with a 5 inch asphalt section (2" BP-1, 3" BB, and 20 foot wide). The total calculated length of mainline paving for the Base Bid is 6,995 LF and the total calculated length of mainline paving for Alternate No. 1 is 1,191 LF.
