For the reinforced concrete box culverts shown in the plans, the contractor may substitute a Precast Concrete Box Culvert alternate design for the original Cast-In-Place concrete design at any location, subject to the requirements of this specification. 2. Ends of box culverts shall be of the cast-in-place design as shown in the plans unless an alternate precast end treatment is proposed by the Contractor and approved by the Engineer.
