Renovation of a mixed-use development in Beaumont, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) Federal Correctional Complex (FCC), Beaumont, TX, intends to make an award to a single responsible entity for the replacement of a chiller. The chiller is located at the Central Administration Building (CAB) located at 5430 Knauth Road, Beaumont, TX. FCC Beaumont is a Correctional Complex with a rated capacity of 4,146 inmates. Security levels range from minimum security to high security. The complex includes a United States Penitentiary (USP), Federal Correctional Institution Medium (FCIM), Federal Correctional Institution Low (FCIL) and a Satellite Camp Prison (SCP). The first institution was activated in 1996 and the final activation occurred in 1999. 1) Awarded Contractor shall be a reputable Mechanical Service Provider with proven experience in commercial chillers. All assigned Contractor Journeyman Level Field Technicians shall have applicable manufacturer repair certifications reflecting competency in the specific equipment being repaired. The Contractor shall provide the Institution's Contracting Officer and his Representative (COR) with such proof. 2) Service will comply with all Local, State, and Federal codes and safety requirements as well. 3) Replacement: of the existing chiller(s) C-ACC-CAB-2-BMA York Model YLAA0101HE46XCA with a 110 Chiller. 4) Contractor shall perform job site clean-up and removal of all excess materials, debris, and old equipment, associated with the project. Removal and disposal of all debris must be completed in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws pertaining to such work. 5) Contractor shall haul away and dispose of the old equipment through an approved licensed recycling entity within five (5) business days of its removal from the institution. Evidence of the appropriate recycled action shall be provided to the institution's Contacting Officer in the way of a tonnage weight receipt to FCC Beaumont by the selected recycler. The project shall comply with all appropriate State and Federal codes and regulations, including the latest editions of the International Building Code, International Plumbing Code, International Mechanical Code, National Electrical Code (NFPA 70), Life Safety Code (NFPA 101), applicable NFPA standards, and environmental regulations. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
