Furnishing all plans, administration, superintendence, labor, services, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, transportation, utilities, and all other items and facilities necessary therefore, as provided in the Contract Documents for the construction of: City of Beaumont 23rd Street Sanitary Sewer Trunkline Rehabilitation Phase I Question Deadline 03/14/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to the Engineer. Questions must be received six (6) days prior to the date of opening Bids no exceptions. Only questions that have been resolved by formal written Addenda will be binding The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to accept any bid or combination of bids deemed advantageous to it. The Contractor will perform the improvements asfollowing on the: 23RD STREET SANITARY SEWER TRUNK LINE REHABILITATION 1. Provide a construction schedule to facilitate scheduling of work to be performed by the OWNER and others. The CONTRACTOR will be required to submit for the Engineer's approval a construction sequence of the phased installation for the proposed work. The OWNER shall reserve the right to adjust the construction sequence to limit the number of service interruptions. 2. Complete upgrades as noted in the drawings and specifications of this contract. The CONTRACTOR is responsible for: REHABILITATION OF SANITARY SEWER TRUNK LINE: a. 48" sanitary sewer trunk line for rehabilitation work by installing about 86 LF of 48" PVC Sanitary sewer by open cut construction method. b. Abandonment of about 125 LF of 48" existing sanitary sewer. c. Abandonment of one sanitary manhole in the asphalt pavement area. d. Installation of 6' diameter and 8' diameter proposed manholes by replacement of existing MHs. e. Asphalt pavement repairs. f. Relocate about 20 LF of existing 8" waterline to accommodate proposed sanitary sewer in 16" steel casing with open cut construction method. g. Sod the disturbed area. h. Prepare and submit for approval of bypass pumping plan before starting of the work. i. Removal and replacement of chain-link fence and slide gate for the site. The Engineer's estimate for this contract is $409,650.00. Bidders must submit an original Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, Certified Check or irrevocable Letter of Credit issued by a bank satisfactory to the Owner, payable without recourse to the order of the City of Beaumont in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the largest possible bid amount as a guaranty that the Bidder will enter into contract and execute bond and guaranty in the form provided within fourteen (14) calendar days after date of Notice of Award of the contract. Bids without the required financial security deposit will not be considered. No one will be allowed to enter the pre-bid virtually or in-person if arrival is later than 5 minutes after the designated time.
