This project may contain Federal Funds. This project requires 27% DBE participation, or if the contract goal is not met, documented evidence of good faith efforts. The Complexity Factor for this project is 0. The Consultant who is selected for this project and all Subconsultants the Prime Consultant will be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on April 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Region One/District One Office in Schaumburg. Phase III engineering services are required to provide construction engineering for subject improvement. Work includes, but is not limited to, replacing the bridge that carries Central Park Ave over I-290. The existing structure (S.N. 016-2072) is a three (3) span continuous noncomposite steel wide flange bridge with zero skew and an overall width of 61'-0" and length backto-back abutments of 204'-0". The roadway width is 44'-0" with two raised 8'-6" wide (7'-6" clear) sidewalks on each side. The existing structure will be replaced with a new continuous galvanized steel structure supported on semi-integral abutments. The bridge spans will be lengthened 20' on both ends and will be 61' wide. The intersection of Harrison and Congress parkway will be resurfaced and will include ADA improvements and pavement markings. The project will also include all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project as shown on the plans and described herein. Traffic will be detoured during construction. The anticipated construction completion date is October 30, 2026. Statements of Interest, including resumes of only the key people noted above, must be submitted electronically to the Central Bureau of Design and Environment through the Engineering Prequalification and Agreement System (EPAS)..
