Renovation of a municipal facility in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The City of Bridgeport seeks bids for Building Renovations for Cardinal Sheehan Center located at 1494 Main St Bridgeport, CT. The intent of this Invitation to Bid is to obtain total pricing for the City of Bridgeport Housing & Community Development Department per the bid specifications. For general information please contact Ann Binkley for any technical question must be posted on procurement portal . All inquiries regarding this bid must be presented in writing and may be posted directly on the procurement portal, OpenGov. The cut-off date for questions is 5:00 pm on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. All answers will be published by 5:00 pm on Friday, February 21, 2025. CBG030252 Exterior Windows o The contractor will field approximately eighteen (18) double hung windows. Remove all broken and deteriorated windows and dispose of them legally off site. o Contractor will purchase and install new welded frame vinyl windows to match same type and style that currently exists.in building. Vinyl windows shall have low-e argon gas as part of the windows energy efficiency. o All windows will be installed plumb and level. Windows will need to be shimmed as part of the installation. All windows will be filled with batt and foam insulation to fill any voids or air pockets when installing new windows. Before windows are inserted into place all exterior window stops will be clean, caulked, and new windows will be pushed against exterior stop to make a weather tight seal. o If the interior or exterior window trim stops are damaged, the contractor will purchase and modify to match the existing if necessary. Install new window stops and trims to match existing ones. The contractor will patch and paint to match existing window trim. All interior and exterior stops will be reinstalled if not damaged. All window trim must be painted. o All stops will be nailed and caulked where the windows meet the stop, and at the beginning of the window stop for a total of three separate caulking. All trim will be painted with one coat of primer and one coat of finish. The contractor will smoothly finish all exterior & interior caulking that's adjacent to all windows, so they are aesthetically pleasing. o Contractor will repair or replace aluminum coil over existing exterior window trim if damage as part of the installation. The contractor will repair or replace any vinyl siding materials as part of their installation. Any damage from the installation of the new windows in this area will be the sole responsibility of the contractor to make all matching necessary repairs. No work or deliveries shall be performed under the contract award until the purchase order has been issued by the purchasing department.
