Renovation of a mixed-use development in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

This project involves preparation, rust treatment and repainting of exterior steel for Hagemann Hall, Rider Hall, Shull Hall and Noehren Hall Skywalks connecting the residence halls to the Redeker Center. Additional work includes preparation, rust treatment and repainting of the North and South Entry Canopies and structure on Redeker Hall. Miscellaneous additional work includes replacement of ADA door remote operator mounting plate, select insect screen replacement and installation of bird deterrent wire mesh screens. Preparation work for repainting may include pressure washing, hand and power tool preparation and commercial blast preparation of exterior surfaces. New paint installation included sealant replacement, priming and finish coat application. Iowa Construction Sales Tax Exemption Certificates will be provided on this project. Bid security shall be agreed upon as the measure of liquidated damages which Owner will sustain by failure, neglect or refusal of bidder to deliver a signed contract stipulating performance of the work in unqualified compliance with Contract Documents or furnish the required 100% Contract Performance and Payment Bond within ten (10) days after receipt of Notice of Award. The Iowa Board of Regents seeks to provide opportunities for Targeted Small Businesses in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 73 of the Code of Iowa. This project has a participation goal for certified Targeted Small Businesses.
