RFQ for 59th Street and 59th Terrace Reconstruction Barton Street to Nieman Road City of Shawnee, Kansas Request for Qualifications (RFQ) will be received from Engineering Consulting Firms by the City of Shawnee, hereinafter referred to as the Owner. The submittals received will be reviewed for the detail design of the 59th Street and 59th Terrace Reconstruction - Barton Street to Nieman Road. Consultants will be notified via online as soon as the proposals have been reviewed and the selection process is complete. The Contract shall be awarded by the Owner at the sole and complete discretion of the Shawnee Governing Body. Engineering Consulting Firms must have an office within the Kansas City Metropolitan Area and be familiar with the City of Shawnee. The City of Shawnee reserves the right to reject any or all of the proposal submittals and to waive informalities or irregularities of the submittals. The project will consist of the following: survey, design, and development of plans/contract documents for rehabilitation of 59th Street and 59th Terrace. This work will include construction items such as grading, new asphalt pavement, storm sewer improvements, new LED street lighting, new curb, sidewalk, and ADA ramps, signing, pavement markings, and other related improvements.
