Site work and paving for a civil project in Houston, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
Sealed Proposals will be received by Chartiers Township for: 2025 Chartiers Township Pavement Maintenance Program Contract A - Pavement Maintenance on various roads throughout the Township including: 7,400 S.Y. of 3 Roto milling, 270 L.F. of 24 Keyways, 630 S.Y. of Soft Spot Base Repair,4 Each Inlet/Manhole Adjustments, 1,940 L.F. of 6 x 18 Bituminous Wedge Curb, 40 Tons of 1 9.5mm Super pave Wearing Surface for Scratch, 945 Tons of 2 19 mm Super pave Bituminous Binder, 8,700 S.Y. of 1 9.5 mm Super pave Wearing Surface, Traffic Control and Restoration. Contract A Add Alternate Completion of Storm Sewer Work involving 3 Each Remove and Replace Existing Inlets with Type M Inlets, 150 L.F. of 15 SLCPP Storm Sewer, 100 S.Y. of Trench Paving, 325 S.Y. of 3 Roto milling, 50 .L.F. of 24 Keyways, 40 Tons of 2 19mm Super pave Bituminous Binder, 325 S.Y. of 1 9.5mm Super pave Wearing Surface, Traffic Control and Restoration. Proposals shall be delivered in a sealed envelope and clearly marked on the outside with the words either 2025 Pavement Maintenance Program Contract A . All contractors must bid the base bid and the add alternate or their bid will be rejected. All bidders shall be PennDOT pre-qualified and submit their PennDOT Pre-Qualification Certificates as well as the Non-Collusion Affidavit with the Proposal in order for the Proposal to be considered responsive. All bidders must be PennDOT pre-qualified as a prime contractor and meet the work classification codes of E, F, and F1. All bids submitted must have the contractor s valid pre-qualification certification attached to the outside of the bid or it will be rejected. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workman s Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreement. The Proposals must be made to Chartiers Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, and shall remain firm for a period of sixty (60) days. No Bidder may withdraw his Proposal during the sixty (60) day period without forfeiting his Bid guarantee. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wages must be paid on this contract. Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder s Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of Chartiers Township in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Proposal as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within 15 days after Notice of the Award of the Contract The Township reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, or any part thereof, for any reason, and also reserves the right to waive any informality therein The Bidder is advised that the Township will award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder based on the total bid submitted. However, the bidder is advised that the Township expressly reserves the right to reject all bids, and specifically reserves the right to award to the lowest responsible bidder for a contract for all or any portions of the work listed in the proposal and in awarding a contract for less than the total work listed, or less than all portions of the work listed, the contract priced will be determined from the total quantities for each item listed and the unit price bid for each item listed.
