The project will include: Landscape grading & excavation services for Truscott Housing Drainage Project that will have work performed at 10 Truscott Place in Aspen, Colorado. Question Deadline 02/26/2025 at 11:59 PM MT Questions are submitted online Yes Bonding Requirements - Performance Bond 100 % - Maintenance Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % The City reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals or accept what is, in its judgment, the Proposal which is in the City's best interest. The City further reserves the right, in the best interests of the City, to accept a late submittal or to waive any technical defects or irregularities in any and all Proposals submitted. 2 Project Description and Background The general purpose of this project is to get as much storm flow southward, away from structures to the parking area and existing storm sewer. This project will include but is not limited to: Regrading existing landscape, installing Flo-Wells, converting downspout collectors to area drains, adding gutters/downspouts, relocating irrigation heads, installing gravel/liner to foundation, pavement repair and air spading around existing tree roots. Drainage around the site, while generally functional and still following overall drainage patterns, has started to impact crawl spaces of some of the structures and create notable "boggy" areas or ice areas in winter. The immediate areas around the structures are no longer draining smoothly and cleanly away and inadvertently ponding water too close to the structures. Much of this is primarily due to minor grading changes and, frequently, root intrusion that now impedes typical surface flow direction. Too many downspouts, which apparently were added after original construction, daylight to the surface in low areas or end up draining back toward the structure. Overall, once drainage does get away from the structures, it does make its way to the access road and parking and eventually the storm sewer. It is primarily the landscaped areas and pedestrian paths in between that have problems.
