This project is part of an ongoing effort to expand broadband access in the City of Indio. A previous phase, completed in late 2024, installed about 66,000 feet of fiber optic cable to serve unconnected homes and businesses. This new phase will extend the network by installing an additional 20,829 feet of fiber optic cable, mostly in existing conduits. Also included is installing some new two 2-inch conduits, vaults, fiber enclosures, and other necessary network components to connect more locations. The work must be completed in accordance with all contract documents, permits, and applicable regulations. It includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the project.
