No definite date for rebid. sealed bid proposals will be received for the following improvement: 19th Avenue Private Side Lead Water Service Replacement This project includes the replacement of existing lead water services with copper water services from the curb stop to the property owners water meter located inside their residence via directional bore. There are 94 water services to be replaced, on private property. The work will be constructed in sequence with an ongoing project within the Right-of-Way along 19th Avenue from Madison Street to Oak Street. All bid proposals offered must be accompanied by a bid bond, cashiers check, or certified check in an amount which shall not be less than Five Percent (5%) of the total amount of the proposal. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of the Proposals without the consent of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Maywood for a period forty-five (45) days after the scheduled time of bid opening. The successful bidder for the work will be required to furnish sufficient insurance to the Village of Maywood and the Engineer against all damage claims that might arise due to the negligence of the Contractor, and will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of the contract. The contractor shall be paid in cash for the work to be performed. The Village of Maywood reserves the right in receiving these bids to waive technicalities and reject any or all bids. This project includes the replacement of existing lead water services with copper water services from the curb stop to the property owner's water meter located inside their residence. These improvements will include construction layout, the installation of 1" and 2" copper pipe via directional bore, new curb stops, and other related appurtenances, sidewalk and driveway restoration, restoration of disturbed parkways, and all other related work. The work to be completed will be on 19th Avenue between Madison Street and Oak Street. Engineering plans are available by request. This project will require coordination with another project. Private side lead service connections are to follow immediately behind public side lead service connections from the water main to the curb stop completed as part of the other project.
