Sealed quotes will be received by the City of Rolla for furnishing the City of Rolla with crushed stone aggregate from April 1st, 2025 to March 31st, 2026. Material to be furnished shall consist of crushed stone base material and clean aggregate. Type 5 aggregate shall conform to the following gradation requirements and in addition shall be so graded that the aggregate will readily compact to the specified density and withstand construction traffic without distortion and displacement. A condition of these specifications is that all bidders must submit a firm quote for supplying material from April 1st, 2025 to March 31st, 2026. The City of Rolla estimates that the material requirements for 2025-26 will be 5,000 tons of base aggregate, 5,000 tons of 1" clean aggregate, 1,500 tons of 2" clean aggregate, and 1,000 tons of 6" clean aggregate. During the period of delivery, sample specimens shall be taken at random to ascertain the gradation of materials being supplied. If at any time material supplied by contractor does not meet the minimum gradation requirements as determined by the appropriate sieve analysis, the contractor, upon notification by the Public Works Director or his authorized representative, shall take immediate steps to correct any gradation deficiencies prior to making any further deliveries. Unit prices are to be submitted on each material. Quotes shall be binding from April 1st, 2025 to March 31st, 2026 on the successful bidder. The City of Rolla reserves the right to reject any or all quotes received or to split the quotes.
