Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Palm Bay, Florida. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
There is a need for a Station 10 to ensure adequate coverage for the community that will serve to satisfy response/operational requirements and ISO requirements. This station will serve the area creating the best response and deployment model for the citizens in the response zone. Closest 1st Due stations to the Lockmar Area of Palm Bay is BCFR St.83/E-2 and 2nd Due stations St.3/St.5. Current response times to Center of St.10 response area by BCFR St.83 is 7-Minutes, a PBFR unit is 8- Minutes without traffic from St.2 and St.3, 10-Minutes for St.5. With new St.10 will cut that time down to 1 to 6-Minutes from center to each end of future St.10 run area. As of December 16, 2025, this project is included in the City's FY 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and funding is allotted for construction in FY 2027, FY 2028. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
