The Town of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, acting by and through the Department of Public Works invites sealed Bids for the proposed "Town of East Longmeadow, "Kingman Avenue Neighborhood Water Main Replacement". The work consists of the installation of approximately 3,750 feet of new 8" ductile iron water main, including hydrants, gate valves, water service corporations, curb stops, copper tubing and reconnections, pavement repairs and resurfacing, loam and seed, abandonment of existing water pipes and all necessary appurtenances for a complete and operational water system. All pipe and water service installation work is to be completed and accepted no later than November 30, 2025. Electronic delivery of documents is strongly preferred. There is no deposit or shipping charge for electronic documents. Paper copies of Bidding Documents will be shipped upon request via U.P.S. Ground Service, UPS, or FedEx only if deposits, handling and shipping charges are prepaid. All Bidders shall furnish with their Bid a bid guaranty in the form of a bid bond, cash or a certified check, treasurer's check or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, in the amount of 5% of the total amount of the bid and made payable to the Town of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts. Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bonds, in the full amount of the Contract Price, will be required of the Successful Bidder. All bids for this project are subject to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended. No Bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the date of the opening of bids. Wages are subject to Massachusetts minimum wage rates as per M.G.L. Chapter 149, Section 26 to 270, inclusive.
