The City of Attleboro through its Department of Public Works is requesting quotes to provide labor, equipment and materials for repairs to the damaged Traffic Signal Mast Arm at Pleasant Street and Emory Street in Attleboro, MA. Scope of work includes: Remove existing damaged Mast Arm Structure, furnish and installation of complete new identical replacement 30 ft Mast Arm structure and Shaft with reinstallation of existing Traffic Signal Housings and new Opticom strobe onto new structure with new mounting hardware as needed, furnish and install one (1) new 12" LED Pedestrian Signal with SOP mounting and APS Polara pedestrian pushbutt9on, re-wiring, reactivation and testing required to provide a complete operational replacement traffic control appurtenance. Ensure functioning as intended. Make site safe for motoring and pedestrian traffic. Please ensure that the Signal Head is put back in place promptly while we await the delivery of the necessary parts. This task is of utmost importance and must be addressed immediately. The contractor shall notify the Superintendent of Public Works or his representative of the time of starting work, interruptions and delays. If the work done or any part thereof is not acceptable; the DPW Superintendent shall immediately notify the Contractor in order that it may be resolved as soon as possible. SUB-LETTING OR ASSIGNMENT OF CONTRACT The Contractor shall keep the work under his personal control and shall not assign by power of attorney or otherwise, or sublet the work or any part thereof unless authorized by the City. The City reserves the right to approve or reject. PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND SAFETY The Superintendent of Public Works and the Police Department shall be notified 24 hours before the start of work. The Contractor shall take all precautions for property in or about the work. The convenience of the general public shall be provided for in an adequate and satisfactory manner.
