The scope of work of this project consists of the rehabilitation of TEN (10) Biscayne Aquifer wells, as required by the Miami Dade Water and Sewer Department (the DEPARTMENT). The CONTRACTOR shall perform this work at the Southwest wellfield (SWWF) and the Northwest Wellfield (NWWF). SWWF wells #19 and 20 are constructed with a 36-inch (in) diameter casing installed to 35 feet (ft) below land surface and are open holed to approximately 100 feet bls, and wells # 25, 26 and 27 are constructed with a 42-in diameter casing installed to 54 ft bls with an open hole to about 104 ft bls. All 5 wells at the NWWF are constructed with a 48-in diameter casing installed to 46 ft bls with an open hole to about 80 ft bls. The wells at both wellfields are contained in a concrete well house that if modified or damaged during the rehabilitation shall be restored to their normal condition prior to the rehabilitation. The well house dimensions are approximately 15-feet wide by 15-feet long by 12-feet high.
