Renovation of a municipal facility in Youngstown, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 23,035-square-foot municipal facility.
A. Before submitting a proposal, bidders should carefully examine drawings and specifications, visit the site, fully inform themselves of all existing conditions and limitations, and shall include in the proposal a sum to cover the cost of all items made necessary by existing conditions and limitations. No allowance whatsoever will be made due to bidder's failure to avail himself of pertinent information, nor shall such failure in any way relieve successful bidder from furnishing materials or performing work required to comply with intent of documents. B. Proposals shall be received for a. A Single Prime Contract (General Construction including All Trades) The Mahoning County Veterans' Services Commission - Renovations Project is a complete renovation of an existing 23,035 SF building. Scope of work will include hazardous materials abatement, select demolition, upgrades to all building systems, interior partitions, exterior storefront replacement, interior finish upgrades, door and hardware upgrades, select structural modifications and the addition of a exterior car port drive through canopy A bid guaranty is required per Ohio Revised Code (ORC) 153.54, either certified check representing aten percent (10%) of the proposal, drawn on a solvent bank, and payable to Western Reserve Port Authority, or a bid bond in the sum of ten percent (10%) of the proposal in lieu thereof must accompany each proposal as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into with the Western Reserve Port Authority, in the manner provided by law. Per ORC 153.571, a performance/payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required after the award of the contract. Bids of Corporations not chartered in Ohio must be accompanied by proper certifications that such Corporation is licensed to do business in Ohio. The contractor and all subcontractors for this project must be enrolled in the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation Drug Free Workplace Program or in a similar program approved by the Bureau of Workers' Compensation. This project is being funded with State of Ohio dollars. The contractor and their subcontractors shall comply with the appropriate minimum prevailing wages set forth by the State of Ohio Industrial Relations Division. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, sex or national origin. The Western Reserve Port Authority shall reserve the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
