Site work and paving for a road / highway in Lenox, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Bids from contractors approved by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation for the Lenox Pavement Resurfacing and Related Work project. The work to be performed includes approximately 16,570 square yards of roadway milling and overlay, including structure adjustment, along Franklin St., Church St., Housatonic St. (Main St. to Church St.), Hawthorne St., and Mountain View Cemetery in Lenox Dale. MassDOT Prequalification of contractors with the class of work as, Pavement - Surfacing, for the project with an estimated value of $1,125,445.00, will be required. Only prospective bidders who are prequalified for the project by MassDOT will be entitled to bid on this project. Prospective bidders should only submit a bid that is within the limit which they are pre-qualified for by MassDOT. Bids submitted that exceed the contractor's qualified limit per MassDOT will not be accepted. All applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations and rules shall be observed. The Town of Lenox reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, in whole or in part, to waive any informality in the bids received, and to accept the bid deemed to be most favorable to the best interest of the Town. The bidder agrees that its bid shall be good and not withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days, Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays excluded, after the date of opening the bids.
