The City of Toronto (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Walton Acres Phase 1 The Project includes the following Work: Installation of 1,800 feet of 6-inch Polyvinyl Chloride water line. The water line will have 37 service connections, 6 gate valves of varying sizes, 3 tie-ins to existing water lines and 3 fire hydrant assemblies. Installation of 5,900 SY of concrete pavement, curb, gutter, underdrain, driveway repair, 20 storm catch basins, and related appurtenances. Bids are requested for the following Contract: Walton Acres Phase 1 The Work will be substantially completed within 150 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run and completed and ready for final payment within 180 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Liquidated damages shall be $1,500.00 per day. The Work will be substantially completed and ready for final payment after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as listed above. Liquidated damages shall be $1,500.00 per day. A one-envelope system will be used. Envelope must have the following information presented on the front: Name and address of Bidder Bid on Contract - Walton Acres Phase 1 Received by the City of Toronto A bidder may not withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the City of Toronto in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid. DBE Requirements - Each Bidder must fully Comply with the Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, and Affirmative Action Requirements, as identified in the contract documents. Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids will be returned unopened to the bidders. Bids received by Contractors that did not attend the Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be returned unopened to the Bidders. The City of Toronto reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
