Site work and paving for a civil project in Polson, Montana. Completed plans call for site work for a development; for paving for a development; road / highway; road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The project consists of the construction of the Cell 1 Landfill Expansion within the licensed landfill area. The 7-acre expansion will include excavation, embankment, preparation of liner subgrade and lined with the liner system shown on the plans. The liner system includes the following elements from bottom to top; compacted native liner subgrade, geosynthetic clay liner (GCL), 60 mil- double-sided textured HDPE flexible membrane liner, non-woven geotextile fabric, and gravel base drainage and protective layer. The landfill cell will also include leachate collection and outfall piping, and leachate manholes. The liner system for the leachate pond includes the following from bottom to top: geosynthetic clay liner (GCL), secondary 60 mil. double-sided textured HDPE flexible membrane liner, geosynthetic drainage flownet, and primary 60 mil. double-sided textured HDPE flexible membrane liner. The new leachate pond will also include leak-detection piping. The project also includes miscellaneous drainage improvements and the construction of an access road and stormwater basin.
