The Project includes the following Work: Sanitary sewer rehabilitation and replacement ofapproximately 133 manholesand 30,645 linear feet of sanitary sewer mains in CampHill, Alabama. The additivealternates include approximately 115 manholes and26,754 linear feet of sanitarysewer main rehabilitation andreplacement. ProspectiveBidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the IssuingOffice Monday through Fridaybetween the hours of 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m., and may obtaincopies of the Bidding Documentsfrom the Issuing Office asdescribed below. Checks for Bidding Documentsshall be payable to "GMC." Partial sets of Bidding Documentswill not be available from theIssuing Office. Neither Ownernor Engineer will be responsiblefor full or partial sets of BiddingDocuments, including Addendaif any, obtained from sourcesother than the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be furnishedin accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. This project is being funded bySRF Project No: CS010915-01and will require DBE documentation from the low, responsive,responsible bidder no later than10 days after the bid opening.This project is being supported,in whole or in part, by federal award number SLFRP2635awarded to the State of Alabama by the U. S. Departmentof Treasury. All participants must complywith all federal requirements applicable to the Loan (includingthose imposed by the 2014 Appropriations Act and relatedSRF Policy Guidelines) whichthe Participant understandsincludes, among other, requirements that all of the ironand steel products used in theProject are to be produced inthe United States ("AmericanIron and Steel Requirement")and those imposed by the BuildAmerica, Buy America (BABA)requirements. All bidders must comply withthe President's Executive OrderNumber 11246 which prohibitsdiscrimination in employmentregarding race, creed, color,sex or national origin. The Townof Camp Hill is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The Owner reserves the right towaive any informalities, or to reject any or all bids, and to awardthe contract to the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder. All bidders shall submit,upon request, a list of projects"successfully completed" in thelast 2 years, having the samescope of work and approximateconstruction cost as specifiedin this project. All bidders mustcomply with requirements ofthe Contractor's Licensing Lawof the State of Alabama and becertified for the type of work onwhich the proposal is submitted.Each bidder must deposit withhis bid, security in the amount,form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. All Bidders bidding in amountsexceeding that established bythe State Licensing Board forGeneral Contractors must belicensed under the provisionsof Title 34, Chapter 8, Code ofAlabama, 1975, and must showevidence of license before bidding or bid will not be receivedor considered by the Engineer;the Bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying thelicense number on the outsideof the envelope in which theProposal is delivered. Bidders will be fully responsiblefor the delivery of their bids in atimely manner. Reliance uponU.S. Mail or other carriers is atthe bidder's risk. Late bids willnot be considered. No bidder may withdraw his bidwithin 60 days after the openingthereof.
