The principal items of work are approximate as follows: Asphalt demolition and removal; Roadway construction; storm drain improvements; concrete sidewalk improvements, observation deck, toilet pavilion, multiple parking areas & utility service improvements. Project shall be completed within one hundred and eighty (180) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed issuance date. NOTE: All item bids are complete in place. To be eligible for consideration, bids must be submitted on complete original proposals. A certified check or Bid Bond payable to the City of Prattville, Alabama in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00 must accompany each of the bidder's separate sealed proposal. Check or bid bond shall be provided as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within fourteen (14) days after notice of award of Contract to them. The successful bidder will be required to submit 100% performance bond and a 50% payment bond. Performance and Payment Bonds shall be from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Alabama to act as surety. Contractors are required to apply for all permits (City of Prattville local permit fees will be waived). Each bidder must be licensed as a Contractor in the State of Alabama in accordance with provisions of Chapter 8 of Title 34 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, and must submit with this bid satisfactory evidence of such license. In order to comply with the requirements of the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act, Act No. 2011-535, and Act 2012-491, bidders must comply with Section 31-13-9, Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended. The right to reject any or all proposals or bids and to disregard any minor irregularities is reserved. No Bidder may withdraw their bid within forty-five days from the date set for receiving the bids.
