Council Chambers Renovations The project is estimated to cost $450,000.00. The amount shown is only to provide general financial information to contractors and bonding companies concerning the project's complexity and size. This amount should not be used in preparing a bid, nor will it have any bearing on the decision to award the contract. The work of constructing the project will be let under one contract. Work will consist of interior renovation to the City Hall Council Chambers; a one-story space of an approximate existing 1,935 sqft. Work includes selective demolition, new interior partitions, custom casework, acoustical tile ceilings, new carpet tile floor finishes, wall hard tile, new lighting, power and data. The entire project shall be completed in 120 calendar days. Guarantee will be required with each bid for at least 5% of the amount of the bid filed in the form of a certified check or Bid Bond payable to the City of Prattville. Bid Bonds shall include certification that the bonding company is listed in Circular 570 of the U.S. Treasury Department. Each bidder mustsubmitwith their bid, security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to submit a 100% performance bond and a 50% payment bond. The City of Prattville is required to comply with the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act, 31-13-1 etseq. of Code ofAlabama 1975, as amended, subsequently all bidders are required to submit an E-Verify Affidavit stating they are enrolled in the E-Verify Program. Each bidder must be licensed as a Contractor in the State of Alabama in accordance with provisions of Chapter 8 of Title 34 of the Code ofAlabama 1975, as amended and mustsubmitwith this bid satisfactory evidence of such license. The successful bidder is required to carry Workmen's Compensation Insurance and Public Liability Insurance, and if a subcontractor is employed, Contractor's Contingent Liability Insurance.
