The project is estimated to cost $985,000.00. The amount shown is only to provide general financial information to contractors and bonding companies concerning the project's complexity and size. This amount should not be used in preparing a bid, nor will it have any bearing on the decision to award the contract. The work of constructing the project will be let under one contract. The principal items of work are approximate as follows: 5 new tennis courts, site grading, storm sewer, grassing, and clean up. The entire project shall be completed in 120 calendar days. Proposals shall be accompanied by a bid bond, a cashier's check, or certified check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price or $10,000.00 payable without recourse to the City of Prattville, Alabama. Check or bid bond shall be provided as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within fourteen (14) days after notice of award of Contract to them. The successful bidder shall furnish performance and payment bonds upon the forms provided for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Performance and Payment Bonds shall be from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Alabama to act as surety. Each bidder must be licensed as a Contractor in the State of Alabama in accordance with provisions of Chapter 8 of Title 34 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, and must submit with this bid satisfactory evidence of such license.
