Owner elected not to proceed with the project due to high bid numbers. Public Works Vehicle Maintenance Office Building The principal items of work are approximate as follows: Construction of a new office building including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, earthwork and clearing of the site around the building pad, site utility connections to building utility stub outs, and reworking existing electrical utilities. Project shall be completed within one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed issuance date. To be eligible for consideration, bids must be submitted on complete original proposals made available by the Architects. A certified check or Bid Bond payable to the City of Prattville, Alabama in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00 must accompany each of the bidder's separate sealed proposal. Check or bid bond shall be provided as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within fourteen (14) days after notice of award of Contract to them. Document Notes : The Architect retains all copyrights and ownership of the documents. No bid documents will be distributed later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled opening of bids. The successful bidder will be required to submit 100% performance bond and a 50% payment bond. Performance and Payment Bonds shall be from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Alabama to act as surety. Contractors are required to apply for all permits (City of Prattville local permit fees will be waived). Each bidder must be licensed as a Contractor in the State of Alabama in accordance with provisions of Chapter 8 of Title 34 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, and must submit with this bid satisfactory evidence of such license.
