The work consists of treating cracks in Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) surfaces using either a saw or rout and seal process or an overband process. Location: Overband Crack Fill, Roadbed Mile, will be utilized at the locations provided on the 2025 Crack Seal Program Map at the time of bid. HMA Crack Treatment, Pound, will be utilized at other locations within Midland County as directed by the Engineer. Overband Crack Fill, Pound, will be utilized at other locations within Midland County as directed by the Engineer Question Deadline 03/05/2025 at 12:00 PM ET The work may be scheduled to begin the day following the last day of school for the affected school district and all items of work must be completed on or before September 1st. The successful bidder shall provide a certified check, cashier's check, bank money order or bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid (calculated based on estimated quantities) made payable to Midland County Road Commission, or may elect to allow 5% retainage from each billing cycle. In either case the funds will be released within 30 days after final acceptance of all HMA crack treatment and overband crack fill projects in the program for the year. The Commission reserves the right to reject any and all bids and any part of same, to waive irregularities in the bid procedure and to award, in the opinion of the Board, in the best interest of the Midland County Road Commission.
