CONTRACT NO. 08 is for Curb & Gutter relocation, Sidewalk Ramp Reconstruction and pavement replacement on Currie Parkway between the Bridge and Main Street, the quantities listed in the Itemized Bid are as follows: 170 Lft. Concrete Curb & Gutter (MDOT F-4) 55 Ton Bit. Pavement MDOT 4EL 55 Ton Bit. Pavement MDOT 5EL Inquiries related to this project should be directed to the City of Midland Engineering Department. A certified check or bid bond for a sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Proposal will be required with each bid. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities or defects, and may accept other than the low bid when deemed in the City's best interest. This project is for curb & gutter relocation on the North side of the street to help insure no traffic will proceed West across the bridge. This part of the roadway and the bridge is a one-way to the East on Currie Parkway From Main Street to the Bridge. The project scope includes, but is not limited to removal of bituminous pavement, storm sewer modifications, removal/replacement of concrete curb and sidewalk ramps & placement of new bituminous hand patch. In general, the order of construction activities shall be as follows: 1. Complete Bit. Pavement, Curb & Gutter and Ramp Removal operations. 2. Place new curb & gutter and sidewalk ramps as per the project plans 3. Fine grade and compact aggregate base. 4. Place bituminous hand patch pavement along new and existing curb lines. 5. Complete turf establishment.
