Bids for the construction of the Friendly Hills Neighborhood Improvements (S.A.P. 140-106-007 & Project No. MH202407). Proposed project improvements include bituminous pavement reclamation, storm sewer improvements, water main improvements, sanitary sewer improvements, aggregate base, concrete curb and gutter repair, catch basin repair, bituminous surfacing, pedestrian ramp improvements, restoration, and appurtenant work. UTILITIES Total of 8 sanitary sewer manhole installations. Total of 1400 LF of sanitary sewer pipe installations. Total of 75 water main utility excavations for maintenance operations. Total of 15 hydrant installations. Total of 51 gate valve installations. Total of 105 water service connections. Total of 236 sacrificial anode bags. Total of 37 storm sewer manhole / catch basin installations. Total of 2000 LF linear feet of storm sewer pipe installations. Total of 2500 LF of perforated PE pipe. STREET REHABILITATION Approximately 79,600 SY of bituminous pavement reclamation. Approximately 5,500 SY of bituminous pavement removal. Approximately 28,500 SF of trail reconstruction. Approximately 3,000 CY of aggregate base. Approximately 22,400 TONS of bituminous pavement. Approximately 18,500 LF of B618 concrete curb and gutter. Approximately 1000 SY of concrete driveway pavement. Approximately 2000 SF of concrete walk. Approximately 1,800 CY of boulevard topsoil borrow. Approximately 10,500 SY of sod. Est. Completion Date: Oct. 31, 2026 The bid bonds must be payable to the City of Mendota Heights in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the vbid, to be forfeited as liquidate damages in the event that the vbid is accepted and the bidder fails to promptly enter into a written contract and furnish the required bonds. Bids will only be accepted from Contractors who purchase digital or paper Bidding Documents as specified above. All bids shall be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit, Responsible Contractor form, Form 21126D, and bid bond as described previously. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities, and to award the contract in the best interests of the Owner. The City may retain the deposits of the three lowest bidders for a period of at least sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids.
