Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Indianapolis, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The public improvement is located in St. John, Indiana, and shall consist of roadway improvements including pavement patching, pavement milling and placement of new asphalt as well as curb and gutter improvements and sidewalk improvements at intersections as necessary. Bidders are required to secure their Bids by an acceptable certified Bid Bond or cashier s check to be submitted with their Bid on the designated Bid Bond form for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount, made payable to the Town of St. John, Indiana as security for the execution of the contract under the terms embodied in the Contract Documents. The bidder to whom the work is awarded will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Each Bidder shall be prepared to promptly execute the construction Agreement, furnish the required bonds and certificates of insurance coverage for the Work, and to commence the Work in accordance with the provisions of the Contract Documents in the event the award of the Work is made to them. Upon the completion of the Work as defined by the Contract Documents, the Contractor (awarded Bidder) shall be required to furnish a maintenance bond, conditioned to guarantee the Work for a period of two (2) years. All Bidders must be properly licensed in the Town of St. John at the time bids are received. The Prime Contractor shall be INDOT prequalified for an amount greater than the value of the bid in any combination of Categories A(a), B(a), C(a), C(b), E(b), E(e), E(f), E(h), E(r), 0112 and 0188 and return any required prequalification information requested by the Town s Engineer during the bid process. When a subcontractor is utilized to complete work items, the subcontractor shall have respective INDOT prequalification for an amount greater than the value of the work items to be performed.
