DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK: The Project, in general, consists of providing all labor, materials, tools, transportation, insurance, and services necessary to remove and replace the existing roofing membrane with a new PVC membrane at the following locations: o 1355 West Street o 300 Park Marina Circle o 6590 Lockheed Drive. The scope of work includes removing and installing an all-new parapet cap, flashing, caulking, and 20% allotment contingency for discovering water damage caused to the existing PVC roofing system for needed repairs to the dens deck, insulation, fasteners, and wood nailers to make the system complete as if was newly installed. It also includes installing an additional R-10 min poly-iso insulation layer and dens deck cover board overlay for class A fire rating requirements. The new roofing system shall be covered by a minimum 20-year roofing system manufacturer's full labor and equipment warranty. The work shall not begin on site until after May 1, 2025. 1.3 ENGINEER'S ESTIMATE: The engineer's estimate is $845,000.00. This is an estimate only and bidders should not rely upon this figure when preparing or submitting their bids . REQUIRED CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE: At the time this contract is bid, the Contractor shall possess a California "C-39" Roofing Contractor's license, which is current and valid at the time of the bid and for the duration of the Work. Contractor and subcontractors shall possess the appropriate license for the work of their respective trades.
