All units for disposal will be considered non-PCB under federal transportation guidelines (less than 50ppm PCB). More than 90% of the units will be less than 5ppm PCB. REU will not include any units that contain greater than 45ppm PCB for the sake of any concerns over the accuracy of our lab tests, which are all performed by Alternate Technologies, Inc. (certified PCB lab) of Burnsville, MN. Note: All salvage units without a non-PCB labels will be tested for PCB prior to pick-up. This information will be provided to the transporter and to the awarded vendor at the time of pick-up. It shall be the responsibility of the transporter to comply with all applicable Federal and State Laws, including California SB 546 (testing requirements for used oils). The City will act as the generator for hazardous wastes and provide all necessary EPA identification numbers. Manifests must indicate the correct EPA identification number The cut-off date and time for receiving questions regarding this bid is 5:00 P.M. PT, on Thursday, March 13, 2025.
