Renovation of a municipal facility in Southborough, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The estimated project cost is: $161,000.00. This contract is subject to N/A% MBE and N/A% WBE participation requirement. Each general bid must be accompanied by a current Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Deputy Commissioner of the Division of Capital Asset Management showing that the bidder has the classification and capacity rating to perform the work and an Update Statement. In order to be eligible to bid, a general bidder must be certified in the following category of work. The work includes: coating the galvanized steel roof at the Western Operations Center, Building 270, at 270 Boston Road, Southborough, MA 01772. The work includes: coating the galvanized steel roof at the Western Operations Center, Building 270, at 270 Boston Road, Southborough, MA 01772 The WOC Building Roof is an overlay hip design with 4/12 pitch, constructed in 1998. The roofing material is made of 22 gauge galvanized steel, mechanicallyseamed, 18 inch wide sheet metal panels with concealed fasteners (standing seam). Extensive paint delamination (peeling) has occurred along the southern face of the roof and moderate delamination along the western face. The Facility's exterior trim (including window trim and door trim) are the same age as the roof and are made of galvanized sheet metal. Trim has been painted to match the color of the roof. All labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to prepare and recoat all previously coated exposed exterior surfaces, including but not limited to the following: a. Roof Surfaces include but are not limited to the trim, flashing, fascia, soffit, vent stacks, gutters, snow guards and roof monitor, as indicated in Section 01010 - Summary of Work and on the drawings. b. Window and Door Surfaces include but are not limited to the trim, frames, sills, muntins, mullions, louvers, louver frames and gutter downspouts, as indicated in Section 01010 - Summary of Work and on the drawings.
