The City of Ames Electric Services Department is accepting bids from qualified vendors for substation transformer maintenance and repair services. Two projects are included: SR6T1 oil reconditioning and transformer repair, work to be scheduled between April 1, 2025 and June 30, 2025 DA6T2 LTC repair and "U" bushing replacement, work to be scheduled between September 1, 2025 and October 31, 2025 Priority will be given to bidders who can complete both projects within the specified timeframes. No bidder may withdraw their bid for at least sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. The City of Ames reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to make such awards as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the City.
