Site work for a civil project in Whittemore, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
In general, the work involves, but is not limited to, selective clearing, excavation and grading, sheet pile installation, along with tile and outlet structures, riprap placement, and seeding. This project includes around 11,611 cubic yards of earthwork, 969 linear feet of various tile installation, 1,200 square feet of sheet pile installation, 610 tons of riprap along with 74 cubic yards of grout and 3.5 acres of seeding. Bids must be submitted on the appropriate bid forms provided and shall include a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%). Bidders must also be registered with the Iowa Division of Labor. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance/Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The Division reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities and irregularities. The estimated construction cost range for this project is $250,000 to $300,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
