The general scope of this project is the construction of a new four-cell sewage lagoon, sewage force mains, sewage pumping station (SPS), and various mechanical and electrical upgrades at existing SPSs. The Lac La Ronge Indian Band invites prequalification submissions from interested general contractors for the construction of the Grandmothers Bay Lagoon and SPS Upgrades, consisting of a new Sewage Lagoon, new Sewage Pumping Station (SPS), mechanical and electrical upgrades to existing SPSs, and new Sewage Force Mains located on the Grandmothers Bay I.R. 219. It is the intention of Lac La Ronge Indian Band Grandmother's Bay Project Management Team (PMT) to prequalify general contractors with experience in earth embankment construction (including slope stability), geomembrane containment liner installation, bedrock blasting and excavation, force main installation, environmental experience, as well as including experience with construction, start-up, and commissioning of sewage pumping stations. General Contractors must also demonstrate their commitment to building relationships with First Nations and offering opportunities for local employment during construction. The Prequalification is the first of a two-stage procurement process. The first stage involves selecting Qualified Respondents that meet the requirements of the Prequalification, and the second stage involves inviting those Qualified Respondents to submit a Tender.
