Renovation of an educational facility in Anniston, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The Project includes Reroof of the CCBOE IT building, new edge metal, gutters, and downspouts. The Project also includes the addition of tapered roof insulation and limited mechanical and electrical work. The General Contractor shall provide a fully qualified superintendent (who is also a full-time employee of the General Contractor) on-site at ALL times when work is occurring. The General Contractor will be responsible for repairing or replacing any damage inside the building resulting from the work on this Project at his expense. Note that this building contains computer equipment sensitive to water. Maintaining a water-tight roof condition in this building is imperative. The Alabama Division of Construction Management and the Owner will NOT accept ANY ponding conditions on the new roof. The new roof must have 100% positive drainage. A Cashier's Check or Bid Bond payable to Calhoun County Board of Education in an amount not less than 5% of the amount of the proposal, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bid. Performance and Statutory Labor and Material Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price will be required at the signing of the Contract. Following purchase of the initial set, additional sets for Contractors and sets for Subcontractors and Dealers may be obtained from Alabama Graphics, 2801 5th Ave S, Birmingham, AL 35233, (205) 252-8505, for the cost of printing and handling. The Project is being bid EXCLUDING TAXES and requires Contractor to comply with the requirements of Act 2013-205, which was signed into law May 19, 2013 The Bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying their current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgment, the best interest of the Owner will thereby be promoted. Performance time: This is a single-phase Project and is to be completed within 150 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages apply to this Project per the Supplementary Conditions
