Renovation of a residential development in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
Project Description: The Housing Authority of the City of Allentown, PA, by virtue of its contract with the United States of America, acting through the Department of Housing and Urban Development, pursuant to the United States Housing Act of 1937, as amended, is hereby requesting sealed bids for the Montrone Building Balcony & Facade Repairs, located at 244 N 6th Street, Allentown, PA 18102. The project consists of the removal and replacement of the existing 3-level balcony, repairs to the northern elevation facade, full window replacements, and select additional site improvements as indicated. Attention is called to all respondents that all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity requirements for federally assisted contracts must be complied with. This includes strict compliance with Executive Order 11246, as amended (establishing a goal of 6.9% for female employment and 1.3% minority percentage by craft); Nondiscrimination; Executive Order 11625, Minority Business Enterprises; Executive Order 12138, Women Business Enterprise; Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968; Civil Rights Act of 1964; and Minority Business Participation. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount meeting the requirements in the Contract Documents. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond both in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract value shall be furnished by the successful bidder as detailed in the Contract Documents. Davis-Bacon wage rates apply. Questions may be submitted through Online Q&A" tab on or before Tuesday, March 04, 2025, at 4:00 PM. Responses will be provided via Online to all registered parties. The Allentown Housing Authority reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to accept or reject any or all proposals or to waive any informalities in bidding, and to withhold award for a period of sixty (60) days.
