3.1 Vendor bids must provide all the necessary electronic components needed to run the core switch networking system for the Medford PUBLIC SCHOOLS. The system must contain redundant switches and be capable of routing the schools network traffic. 3.2 Vendors must have highly qualified engineers with experience in the IT field working with school districts. Installation must be performed by an equipment manufacturer certified engineer or direct engineer of the switch manufacturer to ensure proper installation. The bid should include copies of certifications and resumes for all engineers who will be responsible for installation. 3.3 The vendor must include the cost of installation/configuration and provide operation and configuration training for 2 members of the school system technology staff. 3.4 The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tolls, and supervision necessary for the Replacement of Network Switches and Wireless Access Points in the Medford Public Schools as per the specifications. All work shall be performed using the prevailing wages. 3.5 The Contractor shall protect all walls, floors, ceiling, and furniture and outside area from any damage. 3.6 Damage to any building or area caused by the Contractor shall be repaired or replaced at the Contractor's expense. No refuse or debris shall be left on the site. 3.7 All materials shall be new and of satisfactory quality. All workmanship shall conform to the best practice in the trade and be performed by skilled and (properly) licensed labor in the field and comply with all federal, state, and municipal laws and regulations. The Owner will reject any unsatisfactory services. All old and excess material and debris from the work shall be removed by the Contractor. The premises shall be left clean at all times. 3.8 New Switch proposals should include Ethernet ports that are (PoE) capable. 3.9 Installation of new switches must include documentation and labeling of all current points, printers, and any other special devices/ports (special port configurations/VLANS) as most patch panel ports are not currently labeled as such to ensure devices function properly on the new switches. 3.10 The school system must be supplied with at least two copies of all product documentation to include specifications sheets, maintenance manuals, programming manuals, and end user pamphlets/guides. 3.11 All data jacks must be labeled. Date of E-Rate Service April 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026. 50% payment bond, and 5% bid bond on award of contract.
