WATER MAIN RELAYS AND HYDRANT ALTERATIONS, at the following locations: E Michigan St (WT410240733), N Cass St to N Lincoln Memorial Dr (3 working days); S 43rd St (WT410240736), W Howard Ave to W Cold Spring Rd (3 working days); N 35th St (WT410240737), W Lisbon Ave to W North Ave (3 working days); W Morgan Ave (WT410240739), S 6th St to S 20th St (4 working days); W Lisbon Ave (WT410240753), W Burleigh St to N 100th St (35 working days). (Note: Contractor to furnish and install approximately 556 lin. ft. of 16", 12", 8" and 6" ductile iron pipe. City to furnish miscellaneous materials as shown on plans and proposal form.) Time for Completion: Work shall begin immediately following contract execution. Work in W. Lisbon Ave. from N. 84th St. to N. 100th St. including pavement restoration, shall be completed by March 31, 2025. All other work including pavement restoration shall be completed by May 16, 2025. Liquidated Damages, per diem: $600.00 The residency requirement for this project is 40% of all hours worked on the project. The SBE requirement for this project is 25% of the contract base bid. The SBE Compliance Plan (Form A) must be submitted with the bid and is an element of bid responsiveness. SBE certificates must be submitted with the Form A. Incomplete SBE Compliance Plans (Form A) or inaccurate SBE Compliance Plans will not be accepted and will render the bid unresponsive. The apprenticeship requirements for this project are: 1 Construction Craft Laborer If this contract is awarded at $500,000 or higher, 25% of all apprentice labor hours must be worked by apprentices certified for participation in the Residents Preference Program and 40% of all apprentice labor hours must be attributed to apprentices living in the following zip codes: 53204, 53205, 53206, 53208, 53210, 53215, and 53233 The contractor shall specifically note the SBE, residency, and apprenticeship forms for this project. If the forms are not filled out properly, it will be cause for rejection of the bid. Bid Security Required: Bond, Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Cash to accompany bid: 10% of the Contractor's Base Bid. PAYMENT MONITORING REQUIREMENTS: All Contractors awarded a contract valued at $25,000.00 or more are required to participate in training on the City of Milwaukee's contract compliance software within 30 days of the contract award date. Throughout the contract term, Contractors are required to regularly provide timely subcontractor payment information in the City's contract compliance software.
