The Town of Friendship (Town) is soliciting qualification statements for engineering services to assist the Town with design engineering and inspections of this project in compliance with the WQIP, and the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) requirements. The agreement will be on a lump sum, fixed price basis (or cost reimbursement "not to exceed" basis), with payment terms to be negotiated with the selected offeror. Initiation of services will be contingent on the Town receiving shortterm financing from the CWSRF or a Local Source. The Town of Friendship is seeking assistance for engineering services for their Sanitary Sewer System Improvements Project. The Town of Friendship owns and operates a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and sanitary sewer collection system that were constructed in 1970. The WWTP underwent a major upgrade in 2000, adding several major unit processes. While the collection system continues to operate in a sound manner, multiple components of the WWTP show agerelated deterioration and are in need of significant upgrades. The Town has a current, comprehensive evaluation of potential improvements to the Town's WWTP, as well as its sanitary sewer collection system summarized in a Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) detailing a proposed capital improvement project. The Town has also been awarded a Water Quality Improvement Project (WQIP) grant to cover a portion of the construction of the proposed improvements This is an Equal Opportunity Program. As a result of the interviews, the Town of Friendship will determine which firm will be selected to enter into contract negotiations. Unsuccessful firms will be notified as soon as possible.
