As of February 28, 2025. Project was cancelled, no rebid date yet. Removal of existing decking and redeck bridge. The bridge is located crossing the Oconto River on a recreational trail that runs off of Quarterline Rd in the town of Gillett in Oconto County. b. The current bridge is an old rail road trussell bridge that was previously decked and repurposed into a recreational bridge. c. The timber deck is beginning to fail and the loss of integrity in these boards are preventing them from bei ng able to fasten down the top wear layer prompting a complete tear off of the existing timber deck down to the existing steel girders and placing new decking on the entire bridge.
