Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Oconto, Wisconsin. Design plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
As of August 2025, the project is in the engineering design phase. Information regarding contractor bidding has not been disclosed. Construction is expected to begin in 2026. Oconto County is currently soliciting written proposals for a contractor to pour a concrete deck and aprons over the current rail trussell bridge decking for use of a recreational bridge in the town of Gillett. It is anticipated that an official contract and/or purchase order will be issued after Oconto County Board approval of the recommended proposal.
