Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Oconto, Wisconsin. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
**As of January 16, 2026, bids received were not awarded. Project have no plans to rebid** Removal and installation of new 160' x 12' recreational bridge. The following is a sample of the work Oconto County is looking to do at this time: a. Demolition and removal of existing bridge structure. b. Fabrication and installation of 160' x 12' clear width steel truss bridge. a. Bridge to be built to meet WI DNR standards for a recreational bridge including handrails. c. Site prep and final approaches to be completed to ensure bridge sits at trail grade. d. Time Frame of Work Contracted work will take place between notification of approval of bid and must be completed by June 30th 2026.
