construction of an ADA entrance ramp at the Great Bend Museum located at 220 Lockhouse Road, ADA MUSEUM RAMP. Work will include submitting engineer stamped drawing(s) for the fabrication and installation of ramp from the parking lot sidewalk to unobstructed double doors located on the east side of the museum. The ramp should be black powder coated steel. Ramp must meet commercial building codes and the American with Disabilities Act. Tread should be open mesh in design. Handrails shall have pickets/spindles no more than 4" clear spacing. Ramp shall be 4' wide and shall be designed for a minimum uniform live load of 40psf plus a dead load of 10psf, Bidders will be required to provide Bid Security in the form of a certified check or bid bond of a sum no less than 5 percent of the Bid Amount. Bid Security will be returned to unsuccessful bidders ten (10) days following opening of bid. The Bid Security of the successful bidder will be retained until they execute a surety bond for performance of the contract. If the successful bidder is not able to furnish surety bond within ten (10) days following award of contract, their Bid Security shall be forfeited to the City of Ravenswood, West Virginia. All bonds must be counter-signed by a West Virginia resident agent.
