Requests for Information (RFIs) concerning the project should be emailed to Matthew Tarnowski, Public Works Project Administrator, at MTarnowski@southbury-ct.gov. RFIs should be received by February 21, 2025. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids in whole or in part, to award any item, group of items, or total bid and to waive any informality or technical defects, if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Southbury. The Town of Southbury is an affirmative action, equal opportunity employer. The work to be completed under this bid shall include, but not necessarily be limited to, mobilization and demobilization, reclaiming and paving of the Purchase Firehouse located at 100 Stillson Road, and miscellaneous associated work. It is intended that this project be completed as directed by the Director of Public Works or his designee in accordance with the unit prices bid. The Town reserves the right to decrease the scope of the work to be done and to omit any work in order to bring the cost within available funds. To this end, the Town reserves the right to reduce the quantity of any items or omit any or all items as set forth in the bid at any time prior to the contractor's placement of an order for materials. The Town further reserves the right, at any time during the progress of the work, to restore all or part of any items previously omitted or reduced. Exercise by the Town of the above rights shall not constitute any ground or basis of claim for damages or for anticipated profits on the work omitted. No adjustment will be made in the unit price shown for any item in the bid schedule regardless of the quantity performed. This bid may be extended to include other similar work by mutual agreement of the Town and the contractor. No provision of this bid shall prevent the Town from bidding or awarding individual or separate contracts for projects containing identical or similar items of work as contained in this bid.
